FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do you offer free returns?
Being a small business, it's expensive to process returns and there is a high environmental cost so at this time all sales are final. If for some reason your products arrive damaged, please send photos by email within 5 business days of receiving your package to info@michaelaritchie.com. If there are any issues with your order please contact me as soon as possible and I am happy to work with you to find a solution.
  • How long will it take to receive my order?
It generally takes 3-7 business days to receive your order for most areas in Canada from the time your order is received.
  • Are you products vegan?
Yes, all of my products use all natural, high-quality plant based extracts with the exception of my healing balm which uses locally sourced, ethically produced beeswax. None of my products contain synthetic ingredients, nor would I do any animal testing.
  • Are your products environmentally friendly?
I do everything I can to contribute to our planet's well-being. I select essential oils and other ingredients that are ethically and sustainably produced and buy from local distributers as much as I can to cut down on unnecessary shipping and from local sources as much as possible (some plants don't grow here). My packaging is 100% recyclable, and as environmentally friendly as possible. Even my packing tape is un coated kraft tape that can be recycled along with the box. The packing material I use is crinkle cut paper/cardboard, so there is no plastic or styrofoam to throw away. My bottles are glass can can be reused or recycled. The caps are high quality plastic, which is unavoidable when packaging essential oils, however they can be recycled in most areas. The only thing that can't be recycled are the labels on the bottles, which is unavoidable as the quality of label necessary to hold up against drips of essential oils that could either dissolve the label or erase important information.
  • What is holistic health
A holistic approach to health for me means taking into consideration the whole person. It's a body, mind, spirit approach that is based on the concept that our mental and emotional state affects our physical body and vice-versa. I usually like to explain it like this: If I'm super stressed out, my shoulders tense up, or maybe I get a headache or a stomach ache if I'm really anxious about something. Or maybe you notice that your breathing gets shallow if you are anxious about something. Likewise, if I'm sick or in pain it can cause stress, I can feel drained of energy and generally hopeless if it lingers.
  • What is Naturotherapy
In Quebec, the term Naturotherapy is a specific accreditation for people who have studied a variety of techniques and have met the minimum requirements (400h in at least one field plus a minimum of 150 hours of core studies (mainly anatomy and nutrition). I have personnally accumulated much more than the minimum over the years and I continue taking classes each year to continue my education ad stay up to date. I'm currently accredited with the Association des Naturothérapeutes du Québec and have been since 2018. This allows me to give out insurance receipts for my private consults.
